Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Specialist will utilize their accounting understanding to complete payroll and accounting functions. Demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail, while working in a fast-paced environment.    

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls with timeliness and accuracy
• Monitor time sheet submission, including follow up of missing information with the employee or other staff
• Enter and Update payroll information for all employees in HRIS system
• Track payroll tax accounts by state and local jurisdictions
• Enter daily cash receipts and complete bank deposits
• Provide customer service to employees and clients as required
• General accounting analysis and accounting system entries as assigned by Controller
• Complete assigned duties to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial results for internal and external reporting requirements.
• Reviews, investigate, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Enter, code, and prepare for payment all accounts payables
• All professional duties and responsibilities as assigned

IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred
• 1-3 years of related work experience  
• Proficient with QuickBooks financial system a plus
• Strong Excel Skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills
• Solid work ethic; self-motivated, and time efficient
