We have been retained by our client in Cincinnati to help them hire a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing the general ledger to collect and produce accurate financial statistics and statements. This role combines aspects of financial and managerial accounting and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. There is a path to become CFO down the road.
What You'll Do:
· Management of accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,
Billing, and General Ledger according to generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP).
· Provide audit support by preparing documents for internal and external audits.
· Manage Customer Credit to control company risk.
· Schedule/Control outbound money streams/bill payments.
· Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government
regulations.
· Review documentation and file quarterly Use Tax and other returns.
· Perform monthly review and closing procedures ensuring accurate Financial Statement
Preparation.
· Assist with or prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for CFO and upper
management.
· Support all aspects of accounting functions to accomplish department goals and objectives.
What You'll Have:
· Problem-solving and strong attention to detail while working on multiple, concurrent tasks.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· 5+ years of experience in electronic (ERP) bookkeeping
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
· Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP
· Knowledge of IFRS and auditing experience is a plus.
