Job Title: Senior/Lead SEC Reporting Analyst

Vernovis is currently partnering with a multi-billion-dollar utilities organization in the Midwest to place a Senior/Lead SEC Reporting Analyst. This resource will join the SEC Reporting team and play a crucial role in the 10-K and 10-Q filings.

What You'll Do:

• Use strong professional judgement to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities along with compare data from different sources to draw conclusions. 
• Compile, organize, and format data, including qualitative analysis required for internal and external reporting. 
• Know when to and how to apply technical knowledge to processes, procedures, and tasks. 
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of financial statements, metrics and measures, and key strategic business initiatives.
• Take action to identify, analyze, and improve existing processes within the organization to maximize opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness and meet new goals and objectives.  

• Four-year degree in business discipline
• 1+ years of experience within accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience within accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of SEC Reporting - preparation of 10K and 10Q filings
• Experience with accounting and reporting platforms/systems
